About Nanette Clarke
Nanette has been doing children's parties at the Mill Valley Recreation Center, for over eight years. She has also performed puppet shows at the Suisun, Fairfield, Walnut Creek, Bay Point, Pittsburg, Fremont and San Leandro Public Libraries over the past five years.
Nanette Clarke has a BFA degree from the San Francisco Art Institute as well as an Early Childhood Certificate from San Francisco State University. Nanette has been entertaining and teaching children of all ages for over sixteen years. The Lone Mountain Children's Center director, in San Francisco, chose Nanette to head up their preschool art program for five years. She also was the stage manager for "Starbound", a children's theater company in Fairfield, California.
Nanette Clarke is also an accomplished artist who has sold her paintings and sculptures at Mabel's Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City and at the Todd Capp Gallery in the east village. Her work has been on display at the Smile Gallery, Fort Mason Center, Southern Exposure Gallery, Group W Gallery, Safari Land and Sea Gallery, Eclectica, and Beastro by the Bay in San Francisco. She won the First Place Sculpture Award in a show called, Art in the Park, in Golden Gate Park.
Nanette Clarke's art has been reproduced in the New York Times Magazines. She started her own business in New York City called the Dog Factory. She continues to sell her sculptures and hand made jewelry in the Bay area.
